CAIRO – 8 October 2017: The Egyptian film “Kabl al-Rabee’” [Before the Spring] will screen at the Cinematic Culture Center on October 11.
The film portrays the last three months before the January 25 Revolution. It explains the reasons behind the revolution, and focuses on the thoughts of the youth, and how their social lives and dreams were affected by the poor political status in Egypt.
The revolution was symbolized as spring for young people because they finally had the chance to express their feelings and their freedom.
The film is written and directed by Ahmed Atef and starred by Ahmed Wafik, Hana Shiha, Hanan Motawee', Salma al-Deeb, and Amr Mamdouh.
The film screening is a part of the film screenings hosted by the Cinematic Culture Center, and supervised by Khaled Abdel Geleel.
