Hamilton creator releases song for Puerto Rico charity

CAIRO – 7 October 2017: Hamilton composer and playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda recently released a new single to help relief efforts for Puerto Rico.



‘Almost like Praying’, released by Atlantic Records on October 6, features the vocal talents of numerous Hispanic stars, such as Jennifer Lopez, Luis Fonsi, Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan and many more. All proceeds for the song are set to go to the Hispanic Federation's Unidos Disaster Relief Fund. The song reached the top of the ITunes chart on the same day of its release, nearing a million hits on Youtube.

Outside of composing and writing the hit historical play ‘Hamilton’, Miranda has also worked on the Disney film Moana’s soundtrack.
