‘Money Monster’ to be screened at EFCA

CAIRO – 4 October 2017: The film “Money Monster” will be screened at the Egyptian Film Critics Association (EFCA) on October 8 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The crime, drama and thriller movie directed by Jodie Foster and written by Jamie Linden and Alan DiFiore was first released in 2016 in the United States.
It stars George Clooney (Lee Gates), Julia Roberts (Patty Fenn), Jack O'Connell (Kyle Budwell) and Dominic West (Walt Camby).

“Money Monster” focuses on host Lee Gates and his producer Patty, who are put in an extreme situation on their financial TV show. During a tense standoff broadcast to millions on live TV, Lee and Patty must work furiously against the clock to unravel the mystery behind a conspiracy of investor Kyle Budwell, who has lost all his wealth and tries to raise the price of his company’s share by threatening them on the TV show.

The film is nominated for the Globe de Cristal for Globes de Cristal Awards in France in 2017 and the Jupiter Award in 2017.
