Waheed Mamdouh to perform at Cairo Opera House

CAIRO – 2 October 2017: Guitarist/musician Waheed Mamdouh will perform an array of music genres at Guitar Night with String Quartet at Cairo Opera House on October 9.

Mamdouh is known for professionally blending Spanish guitar with Arabic heritage to produce music with a slight oriental beat that is recognized worldwide, according to his official fan page.

He has played various genres of music including Arabic guitar, finger style guitar, pop music and Latin music among others at a number of concerts.

Graduating from the British Academy of Music and Trinity College of London, Mamdouh has carried out finger-style guitar concerts in Jordan, the UAE and recently at Cairo Opera House.

The ambitious guitarist has also conducted collaborative performances in various locations since 1995, where he performed with Egyptian pop singer Amr Diab, Egyptian singer Sherine, Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram, Algerian Warda, Saudi Hussein Al Jasmi, Assala, and Hany Shaker among others.
