CAIRO – 1 October 2017: The American crime drama film, “400 Blows” will screen at Cima Dekka on October 3.
It was released in 1959.
The film revolves around a young child who faces many problems at school, while he comes to discover that his mother is having a secret affair with another man.
“400 Blows” is written and directed by Francois Truffaut and stars Jean-Pierre Leaud, Albert Remy, and Claire Maurier.
The film won the Best Director prize and OCIC Award at Cannes Film Awards in 1959.
This film screening is part of Cima Dekka’s event “The World in the Eyes of the Young.”
The cinema selected a number of different movies for the event.
“The World in the Eyes of the Young” discusses and screens films where the main actors are children.
It is considered a sacrifice to introduce children as main actors and heroes.
Expressing homesickness, family loss, war and violence are the main themes of the movies.
