CAIRO – 27 September 2017: The Egyptian film “Sheikh Jackson” by Amr Salam will screen on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the first edition of El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) which is running from September 22 to 29.

GFF has a packed schedule for its sixth day, featuring several film screenings including “Of Sheep and Men,” which revolves around the 16-year-old Habib who decides to train a ram to fight, and the 42-year-old Samir who tries to survive by selling sheep.

Other screenings include “Wonders of The Sea.” A unique digital 3D docu-fiction, “Wonders of the Sea” invites viewers to join Jean-Michel Cousteau and his children, Celine and Fabien, as they travel through the magnificent underwater world and marvel at its incredible bio-diversity.

CineGouna, the ambitious program of workshops and panels, will feature a master class by the two American screenwriters Jeff Stockwell and Richard Tanne, moderated by Ghada Shahbender and a panel discussion that will focus on the different ways of making it in the industry as a screenwriter, and how the industry itself is evolving, and how this reflects on the nature of storytelling and structure itself.

A special media event was held today at TU Berlin at 12:00 p.m. where the press will get to have a meet and greet with the aspiring filmmakers who participated in the CineGouna platform and Springboard this year.
