CAIRO – 26 September 2017: The Egyptian film “Photocopy” by Tamer Ashry premiered on Monday at the first edition of El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) which is running between September 22 and September 29.

GFF has a packed schedule for its fifth day, featuring several film screenings including El Haimoune which revolves around a young teacher who is sent to an isolated village in a Tunisian desert. The teacher is passionate to teach but is dragged into pursuing enigmas, the GFF said in a statement.

Other screenings include “In Praise of Nothing,” “Rue de la Victoire,” “Mrs. Fang,” and “Corporate.”

CineGouna, the ambitious program of workshops and panels, will feature a master class called “Creative Collaboration” and a panel discussion called “Production Stories – Arab Producers in Conversation.”

The panel aims to gather producers from around the Arab world to tackle discussions on film production including several roles such as the role of the producer, the producer’s relationship with the director and funding challenges.
