Storytelling workshop at Bedayat

CAIRO – 23 September 2017: Bedayat will host a storytelling workshop from October 4 to October 18. The author and director Hany Abdelnaser in cooperation with the actress Menha Zeytoun will head the workshop.

Storytelling is one of the important tools for authors or actors. Its techniques qualify the speaker to attract the audience. It also gives the speaker the right way to express their thoughts.

Hany Abdelnaser is an author, acting trainer, director and theatre actor. He participated in different storytelling performances, such as On The light of Revolution's Moon [A'ala Daw' Qamar Al Thawra].

He directed the melodramatic show called The Forbidden Dance [Al Raqs Al Harraam], which was translated into English and performed at Calderwood Pavilion Theatre at the USA.

He won a composition award at the National Theatre Festival in 2009 for his Fifa Mama play. He won first place as best actor competition in El Sawy Culture Wheel's Theatre Festival in 2010.

He directed the stage play This Circuses is ours [El Serk Serkena]. The play won second place for best theatrical show in El Sawy Culture Wheel Theatre Festival

Menha Zeytoun is an actress that has played many roles in several movies, series, and plays. Some of her famous work includes Hamman in Amsterdam [Hammam Fi Amsterdam], A Knight Without a Horse (Fares Belah Gawad), and Laila’s Wedding (Farah Laila). She participated in the Storytelling Festival in France, and she also performed a number of shows in Arabic and French.
