CAIRO – 21 September 2017: Shaman theatre play will be performed at the House of Arts Theatre on September 21 and September 22. It will be performed by El Ghad Theatre group from Egypt.
It is written and directed by Saeed Soliman. It reflects the human inner conflict. It also narrates a personal experience to reach the highest spiritual level which is the Sufi spirit.
The show is part of the 24th Cairo International Festival for Contemporary and Experimental Theater.

Cairo International Festival for Contemporary and Experimental Theater (CIFCET) is running between September 19 and September 29, featuring an array of interactive seminars, workshops and plays.
Various Egyptian theatrical performances will be showcasing, including “The Day they Killed Singing”, “The Bridge”, “The 40 Rules of Love”, “The Experiment”, “Shaman”, “The Ambassador” and “Women with No Tomorrow”.
The festival will also feature Arab theatrical performances, including Jordanian “Shadow of a Female”, Iraqi “On Private”, Iraqi “Cart”, Moroccan “Balasmya”, Moroccan play “Fall”, Tunisian “Fall Night”, Tunisian play “Women in Resistance and Love”.
The festival will be hosting five honorary guests, including theater professor at the University of Berlin Erika Fischer, artistic and literary critic Hassan El Mone’ei, American theatrologist and professor at City University of New York Marvin Carlson, and theater director Myung Jin Choi, while the late playwright Mahfouz Abdel Rahman, who has recently passed away, will also be honored.
