El Gouna Festival announces its short movies final list

CAIRO – 15 September 2017: El Gouna Film Festival announced on its official Facebook page its final list of short movies that will be screened in its first edition.
“They were chosen for their dazzling special effects, distinctive acting and exceptional ideas. Our short films will keep you on the edge of your seat!” stated El Gouna Film Festival on its official Facebook page describing its short movies.

El Gouna Film Festival is headed by the Iraqi critic, Inteshal al-Tamimi, under the slogan “Cinema for Humanity". Emerging Arab and Egyptian filmmakers gear up to participate in the first anticipated ceremony of the festival, which will run between September 22 and September 29. Sheikh Jackson will be the opening movie for the festival.

Al-Tamimi said about the movie, “we are proud this special movie will be introduced in the opening ceremony because it will attract many movie producers, not only Arabs, but also foreigners who are interested in these kinds of movies.”

The movie’s director, Amr Salama, said, “the story of the movie is personal and deep, as I am narrating a very private story.”
