Poetry and Music Night at Cairo Opera House

CAIRO – 14 September 2017: The Egyptian talented poet Essam Khalifa will head a Poetry and Music Night in cooperation with the international pianist Amr Selim on October 4 at Cairo Opera House.

Khalifa will introduce a number of his poems accompanied with the melodies of Selim's piano.

Khalifa was the second place winner at Laureate Poet of Arab competition last year. He aims to deliver his poetry to the public and express their inner thoughts; he also discusses many social issues in his poems such as the Arab Spring, Arabic identity, and the crisis of Arabic culture.

A number of filmed poems will be screened during the event about October 6th victory, and President Sadat, as well.
