Mashrabiya art festival to kickoff at Bayt Al-Sinnari

CAIRO -10 September 2017: Bayt Al-Sinnari, in cooperation with the Egyptian Association for Arabesque and Mashrabiya, organized the fourth art festival of Mashrabiya art set to take place on Thursday.

The festival aims to attract youth to the beauty of ancient Islamic art, keep the Egyptian identity by teaching people traditional handicrafts through workshops and conferences and studying the plan of developing the Mashrabiya industry.

It will start with the opening of photography and plastic art exhibitions, followed by a speech by the head of the association Mohamed Al-Deib and some conferences about the history of this art.
