CAIRO – 10 September 2017: Egyptian Pink Floyd tribute band, Andromida, will perform live at Cairo Opera House on September 22.

It is the opening of Andromida’s forthcoming tour, “The Nights of Wonder”.
“The theme of the tour is taken from High Hopes by Pink Floyd,” Amr Hassan, the vocalist and the keyboardist of Andromia, told Egypt Today.

“We made the Nights of Wonder tour for the first time in 2014; to introduce a different attractive atmosphere through music selections. It gives the audience a new level of enjoyment and attraction,” Hassan explained.

It is also the first concert of the band at Cairo Opera House after 10 years of absence.
The huge amount of required official documents that take a long time to finish and the quality of the sound equipment at Cairo Opera House that is not always suitable for rock music are the main reasons for Andromida’s absence from the Opera stage according to Hassan.

“We have been listed on Cairo Opera House events for more than 15 years as the first rock band on their list,” he added.

“The track list will be announced soon, but mainly there are default tracks to be performed like “Shine on You Crazy Diamond”, “Hey You”, “Wish You Were Here” and “High Hopes,”” Hassan added.

The last concert that Andromida performed was at Bibliotheca Alexandrina. It was also a part of the 15th International Summer Festival that was held from June 10 to August 26.

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina witnessed the final segment from Andromida’s latest tour, "I Can See Your House from Here"; the theme of the ended tour was also taken from Roger Water’s "It’s a Miracle."

“’She said meet me

In the Garden of Gethsemane my dear

The Lord said Peter I can see

Your house from here

An honest man

Finally reaped what he had sown

And farmer in Ohio has just repaid a loan

It’s a miracle

Another miracle”
