Cairo Opera House to host Mexican music night on Sept. 29

CAIRO – 6 September 2017: Cairo Opera House will host a special Mexican Music Night on September 29, according to the Cairo Opera House’s official Facebook page.

Zulyamir Lopezríos and pianist Santiago Piñeirúa will continue their long-standing collaboration and perform live in Cairo.

Lopezríos is one of the renowned Mexican sopranos who is characterized by a magical voice that attracts listeners’ ears.

She participated in leading musical acts, including at Mexico’s Fine Arts National Palace and the Fair Friendly of Cultures, with Piñeirúa.

The joint performance brings aspects of Mexican music to the Egyptian audience. The concert is organized in collaboration with the Mexican Embassy in Cairo.

A number of international and national organizations are backing the concert, including the Cairo Opera House, Ministry of Culture, and La Agencia Mexicana de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (The Mexican Agency for International Cooperation for Development).
