Aswan-based jazz singer Mostafa Rizk to perform at Al Rab3

CAIRO – 4 September 2017: Aswan-based jazz singer Mostafa Rizk will be performing in culture venue Al Rab3 on September 15.

Rizk is known for blending southern music with contemporary music and has learned playing the oud. The ambitious artist has started composing his own songs that feature music related to southern heritage.

He later established his own band called El Wansa that composes the same music genres. Rizk has also released his first album ‘Bab El Louk’ in 2014 featuring blues music recreated in Egyptian contemporary genre.

Studying both music and architecture, Rizk was inspired by many artistic approaches that were influenced by his studies in architecture which encouraged him to present a new hue of music, according to the artist’s official fan page.
