'A Short Film about Love' screens in Cinema Daal

CAIRO – 28 August 2017: The 1988 polish romance drama 'A Short Film about Love' will screen for free in Cinema Daal in Cairo on August 30 at 7:30 p.m.

Directed by Krzysztof Kieslowski, the film is a rather unconventional love story that follows a 19-year-old virgin named Tomek who spies on his neighbor Magda as a way to battle his loneliness. Although she's in her mid-thirties, Tomek falls in love with her, and his naïve view of love is shattered when Magda leads him down a path of sexual obsession.

The film was adapted from an episode of a polish TV drama series directed by Kieslowski titled 'Dekalog', which featured ten episodes based on the Ten Commandants.
