The National Egyptian Film Festival to kick off in October

CAIRO – 28 August 2017: The Cultural Development Fund announced that the National Egyptian Film Festival will commence from October 18 to October 26. The competition's prizes are awarded in the following categories: production, artistic design, photography, directing, script writing, acting, montage, music and sound. In addition to the awards for directing, the first or second place film is to be awarded a special jury award and an award for best outfits.

The second competition is for documentaries, animation and short movies. This competition is divided into three categories. The first is for documentaries more than 15 minutes and documentaries less than 15 minutes long. The second category is for animated movies less than 60 minutes, and the third is for short movies less than 60 minutes. The awards for each section are: Best Film, Jury Prize and an Award for the first work of the director.
