Culture Minister honors Ismailia Folklore Festival performers

CAIRO – 26 August 2017: Minister of Culture Helmy El Namnam honored several performers participating in the closing ceremony of the 18th edition of the Ismailia International Folklore Festival that ran from August 21- 26.

The ceremony started with the national anthem, followed by a show entitled Kol El Shoo'ob Gaia Teghany (All the Nations Are Here to Sing), reflecting the main theme of this year's edition of the festival.

Next, the ceremony witnessed a number of performances, such as Bye Bye and Lahn El Salam (Rhyme of Peace), as a farewell to the participants.

The 18th edition of the Ismailia International Folklore Festival kicked off at Ismailia Cultural Palace.

Thirteen Arab and foreign countries participated in this year's festival, including South Africa, Mexico, Algeria, Tunisia, Sudan, Nigeria, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Maldives, Bulgaria, Palestine and Egypt, with 21 troupes taking part.
