El Khan to perform at El Sawy Culture Wheel on Saturday

CAIRO - 24 August 2017: El Khan Arabic Music Ensemble is going to perform at El Sawy Culture Wheel on Saturday, August 24.

Founded in 2014, El Khan aims to revive the ancient and modern heritage and consists of 10 members. El Khan Ensemble uses traditional Arabic instruments in their music such as oud, qanoun and req besides violin. They also incorporate contemporary music instruments such as keyboards, bass and drums.

El Khan presents Arabic music in a new way without distorting the dynamics of the tunes to appeal to those who enjoy raw Arabic traditional music.

The group has previously conducted workshops for vocal methods and instruments. They also performed various live shows at El Sawy Culture Wheel amongst other venues and at the Jerash Festival of Culture and Art.
