CAIRO – 22 August 2017: The Egyptian director Mohamed Saadon, the director, producer and script writer of the short movie, ‘Aliaa’, announced that his short movie was chosen to participate in the Jesuit Film Festival in its fourth edition.

Saadon recounted that the participating movies will be displayed in five governorates which are Aswan, Sohag, Minya, Alexandria and Cairo. ‘’The short movie revolves around the life of an ordinary Egyptian mother suffering from the lack of interest of both her husband and son which led her to use her imagination to go away where she can find what she actually needs,’’ Saadon recounted.

It is worth mentioning that the short movie, ‘Aliaa,’ is starring Ola Mandour, Mostafa al- Fekky and Ahmed al-Dars.

Jesuit Film Festival is a non-profit cultural-cinematic event held in Cairo and other governorates in Upper Egypt. The Festival was tailor made to participate in the development and establishment of the local arts and cultural science of film whether Feature Films or Documentaries. Jesuit works to make intercultural dialogue through culture bridges between centralized capitals and Upper Egypt governorates.

The fourth round of the festival will take place from September 9 to November 11; it is organised annually by Al-Nahda Association for Cultural and Scientific Renaissance.
