A seminar about the City in Comics

CAIRO – 20 August 2017: The house of Egyptian Architecture will host a seminar about the city in comic art by the comic artist Mohamed Wahba and the architect Mogeeb Abdel Rahman Amer, on August 22.

The Symposium will tackle the city visions and views as well as multicultural multitudes that vary according to different times. The city’s definition is connected to many arts such as writing, poetry, prose and drawing, in addition to being linked to the culture of the artist and his age.

It is worth mentioning that the comic’s style is attractive to all categories and ages, but there is always a question on whether the art of comics can provide a comprehensive definition of the integrated city, thus redefining the city community and casting a shadow on the culture. The answer to this question will definitely be in the symposium.
