CAIRO - 18 August 2017: The National Authority for Civilization Coordination will organise a seminar named ‘Historical Revival of Cairo Project’ on Sunday, August 20 at 5 p.m. in Yakan House in Al-Darb al-Ahmar district.
The seminar will display the development of the Souq al-Selah street project, and will also present the Japanese experience of preserving heritage in Kyoto city and the inauguration of exhibition for graduation projects of Al-Azhar university students.
Salah Zaki, heritage and cultural coordination expert, will present the project while Shogi Fono from the University of Nuance will present Japan's experience in preserving the heritage of Kyoto.
The aim of this symposium is to activate the role and objectives of cultural coordination in the preservation of heritage areas, to build distinctive architectural character and work to consolidate and preserve heritage values in society.
The National Authority for Civilization Coordination is strongly involved in Cairo Khedive development project, where it seeks to preserve the aesthetic values of the external shape of the buildings in Cairo. It works as well on redesigning the aesthetic vision of all areas of the country and works to remove urban distortions.
