Asrar band will rock 'Room Art Space' on Saturday

CAIRO - 17 August 2017: Alexandrian based, rock band Asrar will be performing at Room Art Space this weekend on August 19. Founded in 2016, the band consists of four musicians, Omar Aly Abdou, Fady Medhat, Michel Fayad and Mark Medhat. Asrar has previously performed in various venues in Alexandria including Teatro Eskendria and Schutz American School.

The location of Room Art Space is certainly iconic. Located in 10 Tolombat Street, the street was the headquarters of the British Army during World War II, with the British Army nicknaming it ‘Number 10.’ Historical icons like Charles de Gaulle, Oliver Lyttleton, Chaim Weizmann and Anthony Eden had lived in the area, and historians say de Gaulle and Lyttleton discussed the independence of Lebanon and Syria in the same building the art space is located more than 70 years later.
