CAIRO -15 August 2017: Sufi band Waslet Samaa will be performing at El Sawy Culture Wheel on August 15.
Founded in 2014, Waslet Samaa sings “madeeh” (harmonious Sufi praise sonnets) to revive religion and religious ceremonies. Some of their sonnets are “Nour Allah Al Sayed” (The Light of Allah, the Master) and “Mustafa Al Shafaie” (Mustafa the Intercessor).

Inspired by various Sufi practices, Walslet Samaa praises God through the “Dhikr Allah” (remembrance of God) gatherings, as well as “madh” (praise of the Prophet Mohammed).

The group consists of Mohamed El Fayoumi, Muhammad Imran, Mr. Naqshbandi, Adib Dayikh, Tawfiq Al Munajjid, Rasheed Ghulam and Mu'tasim Bellah Asali.

Sufism is the science of Islam that deals the purification of the self and the unification of the body, mind and soul in the worship of God. It stems from “ihsan”, which was mentioned in the “hadith” (saying) of the Prophet Mohammed, where he stated that ihsan is “to worship God as though you see him, for though you cannot see Him, He sees you.” Therefore, Sufis focus on experiencing God in every moment of life.
The ticket to the performance is LE 25 for El Sakkia members and LE 30 for other guests.
