CAIRO - 14 August 2017: The award winning drama film, ‘Loving,’ will be screening at Balcon Heliopolis on August 18.
Loving tells the story of couple Richard and Mildred Loving, who were arrested in 1960s for interracial marriage and ultimately altered the constitution of the United Stated in 1967. Prior to that, it was illegal to get involved in a marital relation with a person of color.
The beautiful tale is written and directed by Jeff Nichols. The film is starring Ruth Negga, who was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress, and Joel Edgerton, who was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by Actor as well as various other awards.
The film won several awards too including Victor Rabinowitz and Joanne Grant Award for Social Justice at Hamptons International Film Festival 2016, Truly Moving Picture at Heartland Film 2016 and Stanley Kramer Award at PGA Awards 2017 amongst others.
