Gypsy Jazz Project to perform live at Room Art Space August 24

CAIRO – 14 August 2017: The Gypsy Jazz Project will perform on August 24 in Room Art Space and Café at 9 p.m. The ticket price is LE 50 ($2.8) and the reservation is online.

The Gypsy Jazz Project is an Egyptian Jazz band that is influenced by the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, whose Gypsy Jazz tunes date back to before 1937 when one of their biggest hits was released, ‘Minor Swing.’

The Gypsy Jazz Project is considered the first and the only band to present the up-swinging, waltzy and sometimes quite tranquil music in the jazz scene. The band consists of seven members, Andrew Guindi - Gypsy Guitar, Amr Soliman - Gypsy Guitar, Michael Adel - Gypsy Guitar, Amir Latif - Violin, Ashraf Rezk - Accordion, Andrew Safwat - Bass and Monica Roshdy - Vocals.
