Opera Summer Festival ends with closure performance by Medhat Saleh

CAIRO – 7 August 2017: Egyptian artist Medhat Saleh inagurated the closing ceremony of the Opera Summer Festival in Damanhour and Alexandria on Sundayin the Roman theater at the Alexandria Opera House.

Attended by Culutre Minister Helmy El Namnam, the ceremony also was also attended Inas Abdel Dayem, the head of the Cairo Opera House. The closing ceremony also witnessed a performance by pianist Amr Selim.

During the ceremony, El-Namnam has congratulated for the second anniversary of the inauguration of Suez Canal, describing it as a great national project which the Egyptian accomplished with their money and their hands in one year by the support of the political will, hoping to see Egypt in Luxury and welfare and progress.

El-Namnam inaugurated the Opera Summer Festival that lasted 16 days in Sayed Darwish Hall in Alexandria Opera House on July 23. It is also featured in Damanhour City, Beheira governorate

The inauguration comes in parallel to celebrating the anniversary of the 1952 revolution.
