CAIRO – 7 August 2017: Bibliotheca Alexandria (BA) will be providing E-learning courses on the history of the Suez Canal to celebrate the first anniversary of the inauguration of the New Suez Canal, which was on August 6. The lectures will be available on BA's E-learning platform, Moodle, and are part of an effort to spread support for better public education and cultural awareness.
The courses will go over topics such as, why the Canal was first dug, its first inauguration, the excavation work that was done, official documents regarding construction and the movement of ships across the canal. Utilizing the medium to its full potential, the courses will be interactive.
Both the public and historians alike will find much to benefit from this new course, which is a promising look at how the internet can be used to help better educate Egypt's populace.
