Cultural center in every new governorate: culture minister

CAIRO – 27 July 2017: Minister of culture Helmy al-Namnam said on Wednesday that President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi directed the ministry to create a cultural center in the new capital, an Opera with capacity 2500, attached with two theatres, national library, new branch for National Archives of Egypt, and museums for contemporary art and traditional crafts, Al-Ahram reported.

Namnam added that Sisi assigned the ministry after the 4th National Youth Conference in Alexandria, to build a new cultural center in New Alamen governorate, and new centers should be built in every new governorate to empower the cultural role in society’s progression.
