The Grand Egyptian Museum Authority announced the new official opening hours for the museum’s main exhibition halls, as well as the areas currently under trial operation. These new hours will be implemented starting next February.
Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, the CEO of the museum authority, stated that during summer and winter, the museum will be open every day of the week from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, while during the month of Ramadan, it will close at 4:00 PM.
Ghoneim also mentioned that the museum will have evening hours on Saturdays and Wednesdays each week, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Additionally, the museum will begin implementing a list of exemptions and various discounts on entry tickets, as approved by the board of directors in its most recent meeting.
