Ever eager to embrace new challenges, rising star Moataz Hesham is set to return to the smaller screen in the much-anticipated Ramadan 2025 drama WELAD EL SHAMS, where he will be sharing the screen with renowned actors Ahmed Malek and Taha Dessouky, marking yet another milestone in his rapidly advancing career.
His role in this gripping drama is set to highlight his versatility and commitment to taking on roles that challenge his skills as an actor. Produced by United Media Services and directed by Shadi Abdel Salam, WELAD EL SHAMS delves into the lives of two childhood friends who are drawn into a life of crime; the 12-episode series promises to explore deep themes of friendship, betrayal, and the far-reaching consequences of seemingly innocent life choices.
Audiences can also look forward to seeing Moataz soon in the sequel to the MBC-produced musical SUGAR, which is set to release sometime this month.
Previously, Hesham starred in the Ramadan 2024 drama EL HASHASHEEN — a historical epic directed by Peter Mimi in which he starred alongside the legendary Karim Abdel-Aziz — and Ahmed Shafik’s gripping action series COBRA, starring opposite Mohamed Emam.
Hesham’s breakthrough roles came in KINGDOMS OF FIRE — a pan-Arab production that brought several talents from across the region together — and ABU OMAR EL MASRY, in which he starred alongside Ahmed Ezz, Arwa Goudah, and Munther Rayahnah. His growing portfolio also includes notable films like BEFORE FORTY — in which he was the lead — and 11:11.
From intense dramas to historical epics, Moataz has consistently demonstrated his talent and dedication to his craft, cementing his position as one of the most sought-after young actors in the Arab entertainment industry.
