Renowned media personality Leila Rostom passed away at the age of 88
Leila Abdel Hamid Mahmoud Rostom was the daughter of engineer Abdel Hamid Rostom and the niece of actor Zaki Rostom.
She worked as a television presenter in Egyptian television and gained fame during the 1960s.
Leila held a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University in the United States. She began her career as a television presenter in 1960, and later became a French newsreader.
Leila hosted several notable programs, including “Your Favorite Star” and “The Bright Room”.
In 1967, she moved to work with Lebanese television, where she presented shows such as “An Evening with the Past” and “Between Truth and Fiction”.
