1-Mustafa Fahmy
 
Renowned Egyptian actor Mustafa Fahmy passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on August 7, 1947, in Cairo, Fahmy graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema and embarked on a prolific acting career spanning five decades. He was celebrated for his roles in films such as “Where Is My Mind?” (1974), “Face to Face” (1976), and “The Red Rose” (2000). Fahmy’s versatility and dedication to his craft endeared him to audiences across the Arab world. 
 
2-Hassan Youssef 
 
Veteran actor Hassan Youssef died on October 29, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on April 14, 1934, in Cairo, Youssef’s career began in the late 1950s, and he became a prominent figure in Egyptian cinema and television. He starred alongside actress Soad Hosny in numerous successful films and was known for his roles in television series such as “Dalia the Egyptian” (1982) and “Layaly El Helmeya” (1985). 12-Gamil Barsoum
 
Veteran Egyptian Actor Gamil Barsoum
passed away in March at the age of 70 after a
battle with illness. He was honored with the
Father Youssef Mazloum Award at the 72nd
edition of the Egyptian Catholic Center Cin-
ema Festival, one of his final public appearances.
He honed his craft on the
stage, notably with El Taliaa Theater, where he
starred alongside renowned actor Mohamed
Sobhi in a production of “Hamlet.”
Barsoum’s career spanned decades, with no-
table roles in films such as “Welad el ‘Am,” “El
Feel El Azraq,” and “El Kenz,” and television
series including “Mohamed, the Messenger of
God,” “Awan Al-Ward,” and “Kalabsh.”
 
 
 
13- Ahmed Adaweya 
 
Shaabi music legend Ahmed Adaweya passed away on December 29. Ahmed Adaweya is a pioneer of Egyptian Shaabi music.
