In his speech at the opening ceremony of the Cairo International Film Festival, Egypt’s Minister of Culture Ahmed Hanno said that Cairo is the capital of art.

 

 


“From the heart of Cairo, the capital of art, civilizations converge, we meet again at the Cairo Film Festival, which has become a symbol of the seventh art and reserved its place among the international festivals so that Egypt is among the leaders. Egypt is an incubator of talents, and here we tell our stories and listen to the human voices through artistic creations from different parts of the world.”

 

The Minister of Culture sent a tribute to everyone who left a mark on this festival since its inception until now, starting from its founder, Kamal Al-Malakh, to the great artist Hussein Fahmy, who as he described will remain a symbol of high-quality art. 
 

 


“Hussein Fahmy’s presence in this festival increases enthusiasm and brilliance. The Cairo International Film Festival will continue to celebrate creativity and innovation, and we will all celebrate its magic, we will make this edition a new chapter of the most prestigious Cairo International Film Festival.”
