The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The British Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will perform for the first time in Egypt at the Grand Egyptian Museum, on November 15, and 16, in an event organized in cooperation with the British Embassy in Egypt and the British Egyptian Business Association.
The British Ambassador to Egypt, Gareth Bayley described the event as a cultural bridge between Egypt and the United Kingdom, emphasizing that this will be the Royal Philharmonic’s first performance in Egypt.
Bayley added that the audiences will enjoy both classical masterpieces and film scores at the Grand Egyptian Museum.
“The orchestra is as old as the UK culture in modern times, and His Majesty, King Charles III is the patron of the orchestra," Bayley said.
The British ambassador added that these concerts are not only a celebration of art, but a symbol of the deep relationship between Egypt and the UK, and that the UK looks forward to further cultural and artistic exchange that enriches the creative landscape of both countries.
Egyptian violinists Amira and Mariam Abouzahra will represent Egypt at the event, performing classical pieces alongside the Royal Philharmonic.
