CAIRO – 24 July 2017: Chairman of the General Egyptian Book Organization, Haitham Al-Haj Ali, inaugurated the second Toya Festival for Culture organized by Toya House of Publishing in Maadi on Friday, July 21.

The writer and publisher Hala El Beshbishi said the festival is themed “prices of the past”, as the price of one book is from LE 1 ($.06) to LE 20. Toya Bookstore also has a service that allows books to be replaced or returned within 84 hours of purchase.
On the sidelines of the festival, there will be lots of workshops for learning different forms of art, artistic and cultural concerts, and symposiums for writer Ahmed Atef and journalist Osama Gharib.

Toya Bookstore & Art Space for the selling, borrowing and reading books was founded in 2006.

There are also 100,000 novels; short stories; legal, medical, religious, scientific and fine arts books in Toya bookstores.

In addition, it organizes lots of events, such as underground concerts, open day fairs, and an open discussion of Adham El Abodi and handicraft workshops. The festival runs until August 5.
