As film festivals gain increasing importance in the industry, the role of programmers has become more critical than ever.

 

 

 

No longer just about watching and selecting films, a programmer's job is multifaceted, requiring a range of skills to meet the ever-growing needs of festivals, particularly in the Arab region. 

 
This insightful workshop, titled "Film Festival Programming", will be led by Andrew Mohsen, Head of Programming at El Gouna Film Festival and a renowned film critic.
 
 
Participants will delve into the essential skills needed for those aspiring to work in programming, learning how to navigate the evolving demands of film festivals.
 
 
They will gain a deeper understanding of the curation process and explore how to adapt to the unique dynamics of the Arab festival circuit.
 
This workshop is open to accreditation holders only and will take place on October 29th.
