El Gouna Film Festival Unveils CineGouna Market's Curated Arabic Short Film Lounge

El Gouna Film Festival announced the return of the CineGouna Short Film Lounge, a unique initiative aimed at  industry professionals seeking to discover the finest up-and-coming talents in Egyptian and Arabic cinema. Featuring a meticulously curated library of over 60 new short films, the Short Film Lounge offers an exclusive opportunity for festival programmers, distributors, producers, and buyers to explore outstanding works from across the Arab world.

From October 26 to November 1, these films will be available for in-person screenings at the lounge from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. Additionally, the collection will remain available online for industry professionals until December 1, extending the opportunity to engage with these remarkable works.

This ambitious project, housed in the festival’s Video Library, highlights the best of contemporary short films from countries including Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Syria, and more. The Short Film Lounge serves as a vital platform, offering a space for industry professionals to discover hidden  gems and potentially shape the careers of the region’s rising stars through future collaborations, festival selections, or sales deals.

The films showcased in the CineGouna Short Film Lounge are not part of the official short film competition, ensuring their premiere status remains intact. The lounge is exclusively accessible to CineGouna Market exhibitors and industry professionals, providing an intimate and focused setting for talent discovery.
