Museums, theatres, National Circus to open for free marking Oct. victory anniversary

CAIRO - 30 September 2024: As part of the celebration of the 51st anniversary of the glorious October victories, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, announced the opening of all art and national museums, theaters and the National Circus across the country for free to the public.
 
Minister Hano further announced offering a discount of up to 50 percent on the Ministry’s publications next Sunday, October 6, 2024.
 
Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, said: “We celebrate the glorious October victories, which represent a milestone in Egypt’s history, noting that this initiative comes from the Ministry’s keenness to enhance the spirit of national belonging and pride in the glorious Egyptian history, and to provide the opportunity for all segments of society to learn about the Egyptian cultural and artistic heritage, and celebrate a distinctive national anniversary.”
 
The Minister of Culture stressed that the Ministry always seeks to enhance its role in spreading culture and national awareness by making the cultural and cognitive product provided by the Ministry’s various sectors available to everyone, believing in its role in building generations and formulating national awareness.
 
The museums that will be open to the public for free are: Mahmoud Mukhtar Museum, Taha Hussein Museum, Ahmed Shawky Museum, Mansoura National Museum, Port Said Museum, Mahmoud Said Museum Center in Alexandria, and the Museum of Fine Arts.
