The play "Film Romance" will be staged at the second edition of the New Alamein Festival on August 8th.
The plot centers around Ragaa, an architect working at a major construction company, who lives with her mother Adeela.
Adeela has complex feelings about love and men, and she has passed these on to her daughter.
As a result, Ragaa neglects herself and her appearance, believing that love is impossible.
However, she nurtures a deep love for Louay El-Hadidi, a businessman who visits the company to commission designs for a new tourist village.
Louay, who has been hurt in the past, initially acts cold towards Ragaa.
At this point, a sudden turn of events sends Ragaa into a different world. She awakens to discover that she is the leading lady in a romantic movie.
As she attempts to adapt to her new role, she encounters unexpected and humorous scenarios. Eventually, Ragaa returns to her real life to find that her world has changed dramatically, influenced by the romantic movie scenarios she has experienced.
Ragaa realizes that the only hope for Louay to return to his true self is to live out the romantic film to its end.
The movie concludes with Ragaa and Louay achieving success together and living out a love story that lasts forever.
Ragaa discovers that true happiness lies in loving herself, trusting in her worth, and giving herself the appreciation she deserves.
The play features Mohsen Mansour, Dareen Hadad and Tony Maher. "Film Romance” is written by Ahmed El Malwany and directed by Mohamed Gabr.
