British Lebanese sweetheart and internationally acclaimed actress Razane Jammal is set to reprise her role as Lyta Hall in the second season of the record-breaking Netflix adaptation of DC Comics’ THE SANDMAN, which is speculated to release sometime in 2025.

Razane’s Lyta was a recurring supporting character in the first season of THE SANDMAN, appearing prominently in the second main narrative arc of the show, leading her own sub-plot in which she reconnected with her deceased husband, Hector — played by Lloyd Everitt — in her dreams.

When last we left Lyta, she had just given birth to a son conceived in her dreams in the waking world. With that in mind, fans of the show can expect a few interesting surprises and reveals this coming season as Lyta tries to settle into raising her miracle baby.

THE SANDMAN follows Morpheus, the personification of dreams and one of the seven Endless, who is captured in an occult ritual in 1916. After being held captive for 106 years, Dream escapes and sets out to restore order to his realm — The Dreaming.

Releasing in 2022, THE SANDMAN topped Netflix’s worldwide viewership charts, wracking 198m total global hours of watch time during its first ten days on the platform and dominating the online discourse, particularly TikTok, where it trended for weeks.

THE SANDMAN stars Tom Sturridge alongside an extensive roster of supporting actors, including Jenna Coleman. Joining the cast for the second season is  Ruairi O’Connor as the tragic Greek hero and son of the Dream of the Endless Orpheus; Freddie Fox, Clive Russel, and Laurence O’Fuarain as the widely-loved Norse gods Loki, Odin, and Thor, respectively; and GAME OF THRONES actor Jack Gleeson as Puck among others.

Previously Razane Jammal showcased her acting prowess in Marwan Hamed's blockbuster KIRA & EL GIN — the third highest-grossing film in Egyptian box office history — for which she was awarded the Best Actress in a Supporting Role Award at the 49th edition of Cairo Film Society.

Jammal also made a name for herself in the international film industry with her diverse roles in French, British, and American projects, three of which have participated at the Cannes Film Festival — Cruel Summer (2012) by Kanye West, UNE HISTOIRE  DE FOU (2014) by Robert Guediguian, and Carlos (2010) by Olivier Assayas, which received a Golden Globe in 2011.
