Amr El Fekki: “UMS develops the entertainment industry in Egypt”

 

 

 

 

The second edition of Al Alamein Festival is packed with numerous concerts, sports competitions, and entertainment activities.
 

 

 

 

 

A press conference was held on July 1, in New Alamein City, announcing the launch of the second edition of the Alamein Festival 2024. During the conference, the festival's new activities and entertainment events were revealed, and the festival management decided to allocate 60% of the festival's profits to support our people in Palestine.

 

 

Al Alamein Festival is a 

a collection of stories of success and pride, documenting Egypt’s constant ability to build and develop.

 

 

 

"The Alamein Festival is one of the festivals we are interested in. It will feature plays, around 10 concerts, and a special focus on children this year with the Nabta Festival to ensure the whole family can attend." said CEO and managing director of United Media Services Amr El Fekki in his speech during the press conference.

 

 

El Fekki added that Alamein Festival attracted one million visitors in its previous edition, and UMS goal for the current edition is to double that number and reach 2 million visitors.

 

 

“UMS is trying to develop the entertainment industry in Egypt that’s why it also launched Layali Misr concert in all the Egyptian governorates.” El Fekki added.

 

The CEO of UMS added that this year Al Alamien Festival will offer over 35 events.

 

“Al Alamien Festival this year will witness a joint cooperation between United Media Services and the Saudi General Entertainment Authority which will present four plays and three concerts in Al Alamein Festival and UMS will sponsor two plays in Riyadh Season.”

 

El Fekki further explained that the role of the festivals all around the world is to promote tourism.

 

 

Given the current circumstances, the Alamein Festival has decided to launch its second edition under the slogan 'Alamein, the World,' raising the beloved Palestinian flag to flutter freely, with pride and dignity, alongside the Egyptian flag. The festival has also decided to allocate 60% of the profits from the second edition of Alamein festival to support our people in Palestine. This means that every Egyptian or Arab family participating in the festival's activities and events will be supporting a Palestinian family.
