Cabinet Resuffle: All you need to know about Egypt's New Minister of Culture

CAIRO - 2 July 2024: Government sources revealed the nomination of Dr. Ahmed Henno as the new Minister of Culture in the new government of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, who is scheduled to be sworn in Wednesday.

 

In the below lines, et highlights information about the new Minister of Culture:

 

Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno was born on 13 December 1968, and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Engraving Department, 1992. He also holds a Master’s degree in Experimental Animation Films from Cairo University, 1997.

 

Hanno holds a Doctorate in Philosophy of Art, specializing in visual communication and the creation of animated films.

 

 

Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno worked as follows:

 

- Teaching assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphic Department, Animation and Book Art Division.

- Assistant Professor in the Graphic Department, College of Fine Arts.

- Professor in the Graphics Department, College of Fine Arts.

- Former Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, August 2019.

- Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design at Galala University.

 

He participated during his work in:

 

- Student exhibitions.

- The Second Youth Salon 1990.

- Exhibition (Contemporary Egyptian Graphic Art) at the Gezira Arts Center in Zamalek, April 2015.

- Tomorrow’s Artists Forum Exhibition at the Saad Zaghloul Cultural Center, House of the Nation Museum, March 2018.

- He further participated in the organizing committees of the Luxor International Photography Forum for three sessions.

 

 

Regarding Scholarships and grants, Hanno received: 

 

- A scholarship from the German exchange program.
