The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization has announced the launch of the "NMEC" application on its official page.

This special app is designed to make it easier for visitors to book their museum visits and stay informed about the events and workshops taking place there.

The app also offers tailored tour recommendations for large and small groups, as well as providing a museum map to assist with transportation.

It is available for download on Google Play and the App Store under the name "NMEC".

The Central Exhibition Hall [Main Hall] of NMEC contains nearly 1,600 artifacts that give an integrated idea of the Egyptian civilization and its most important achievements throughout its different eras, starting from prehistoric times through the Pharaonic, Greco-Roman, Coptic and Islamic eras up to the modern and contemporary ages. This is in addition to showcasing the Egyptian folklore.

The Royal Mummies Hall includes a jewelry set that was designed in the ancient Egyptian era at the highest level of expertise, a group of deities, the war chariot of King Thutmose,  3,000-year-old prosthesis, surgery tools, a water and solar clock, a 30,000-year old skeleton, and many more intriguing artifacts.
