St. Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral celebrated the Holy Family’s arrival in Egypt by screening a segment of part two from WATCH IT’s documentary series "Om El Donya".

“I will start my speech by saying three words: Peace, blessing, and love. Today we celebrate the arrival of the holy family in Egypt and how Christ and the Virgin Mary blessed the land of Egypt," said Ashraf Salman, the chairman of United Media Services (UMS).

In his speech, Salman thanked the CEO of UMS, Amr El Feki, and WATCH IT’s CEO, Nashwa Gad, for their great efforts. "I would like to thank the team of the 'Om El Donya' documentary series for presenting this historical epic simply and interestingly. I am sure that the 'Om El Donya' documentary series will always remain a reference to Egyptian history," Salman recounted.

Salman added that "Om El Donya" is not an ordinary documentary series; it is a challenge for UMS in every sense of the word. "Om El Donya" is an epic historical documentary series that documents Egyptian history and raises awareness about all the Egyptian civilizations," Salman said. The UMS chairman added that "Om El Donya" is a massive work that deals with the journey of the Holy Family to Egypt, and a great effort was made in it by its cast, from writing the script to photography and directing.

"Om El Donya" is a wonderful example of homogeneous Egyptian artwork, as the cast was able to reach a very difficult equation, which presents a high-level artistic work that contributes to documenting ancient Egyptian history.

Salman asserted that UMS provides all the support and assistance to every distinguished work such as "Om El Donya" out of its belief in the importance of preserving the Egyptian identity and presenting works that contribute to enriching Arab culture.

"I would like to thank Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark for his help in producing the 'Om El Donya' documentary series.
