Yehia El Fakharany and Passant Abou Pasha in a scene from Atabat El Bahga.
The finale of “Atabat El Bahga” ( Thresholds Of Joy) headlined by the veteran Yehia El Fakharany is loaded with great lessons.
Searching for joy is much more amusing than finding joy and we can be happy with very simple things.
There are friends, there is family and there are friends who become family like Bahgat ( Yehya El Fakharany) and Erfan ( Salah Abdallah).
The most important thing is having a caring grandfather like Bahgat is a true blessing.
Drama legend Yehia El Fakharany plays in the series the role of Bahgat Al-Ansari, a retired 70-year-old man who lives with his son, daughter- in-law, and two grandchildren, Hala and Omar.
Bahgat's wife died twenty years ago, and since then he has been living with his son’s family and is busy with his grandchildren’s problems.
At the same time he reconnects with his first love, Lubna. Bahgat’s son travels with his wife for a job opportunity in Europe but tragically they lose their lives after an accident and Bahgat is left responsible for his grandchildren.
Alongside El Fakharany, “Atabat El Bahga” features a star-studded cast that includes Jumana Mourad, Salah Abdullah, Ennaba, Khaled Shabat, Safaa Al-Toukhi, Sama Ibrahim, Hisham Ismail, Wafaa Sadek, Hazem Ehab, Youssef Othman, Laila Ezz Al- Arab and Alaa Morsi.
The 15-episode series is directed by veteran director Magdy Abo Emera whose last collaboration with El Fakharany was 16 years ago on the hit series “Yetraba Fe Ezo.”
“Atabat El Bahga” is based on a novel by Ibrahim Abdelmegeed and the series script is written by Medhat El Adl.
