File: “Rehla 404” movie poster.
The first poster of "Rehla 404" (Flight 404) was released in preparation for its release in Egyptian cinemas on January 25th and throughout the Arab world on February 1st.
The poster shows fragments of the story, in which Ghada faced an emergency days before she travels to Mecca for Hajj and she has to get a large sum of money.
She is forced to reconnect with people from her past, Will things go smoothly, will she be able to solve her problem and make it to Hajj? will returning to the past is going to contaminate her again? Those are the queries that screenwriter Mohamed Ragaa posed through the scenario that received the Sawiris Award for young writers and screenwriters in 2015.
"Rehla 404" stars Mona Zaki along with a star studded cast and guest stars including Mohamed Farag, Mohamed Mamdouh, Shereen Reda, Khaled El-Sawy, Mohamed Alaa, Hassan Al-Adl, Sama Ibrahim, Shadi Alfons, Rana Raies, Gihan el Shamashergy and Arfa Abdel Rassoul.
The movie is scripted by Mohamed Ragaa and directed by Hany Khalifa.
Ragaa stated: "Many stories were spread about the film's plot. I don't want to reveal the events, for the audience will watch the film soon. After so many years of patience, the exceptional team of production, directing and acting turned this dream into a tangible reality.
Film director Hani Khalifa noted that " Rehla 404" is a story that has never been told before on screen. It is one of the most fascinating scenarios of screenwriter Ragaa. The film marks their first collaboration before presenting multiple works together.
Khalifa declared: "I think that whoever watches the film will get personally involved in its dilemma. Basically, the events cannot be predicted. It's a pleasure to work with Mona Zaki again, after presenting Sleepless Nights. I was looking forward to working with her again because of her exceptional talent".
As for the film star, Mona Zaki, she stated: I'm so grateful for the long journey I had with the film. In fact, I love this film so much. The journey started many years ago, when I was filming the Asia Series, particularly in 2013.I was filming numerous works then so it had to be postponed. Nevertheless I fell in love with the film when I first read the script. I got attached to the characters and story that continues over 3 days. It has a certain precision in storytelling that will attract whoever watches the film."
