Sharm El-Sheikh International Theater Festival for Youth (SITFY) will not hold its opening ceremony in solidarity with Palestine

​Sharm El-Sheikh International Theater Festival for Youth (SITFY) asserts its full solidarity with the Palestinian people in light of the crimes of the Israeli Occupation forces that are against humanity.

 

Thus, SITFY's Higher Committee announces its new slogan; "Theater for Humanity". The festival's management decided not to organize the opening ceremony and present an Arab operetta at the opening of the eighth edition, on November 25th, 2023.

 

 

During the grand gathering of world artists, the festival's management plans to hold a conference in order to condemn Gaza war and declare that art is a way of expressing the humans right to live in a secure homeland without terrorism, murdering or destruction, in support of humanity.
