In a noteworthy development, globally acclaimed artist and international coach Scott Trost has touched down at Sharm El Sheikh International Airport to partake in the eighth edition of the Sharm El-Sheikh International Theatre Festival. Welcoming him was the festival's management, led by the artistic director Mazen El Gharabawy.

Trost, known for his extensive contributions to the world of acting and training, is set to conduct a workshop for the second consecutive year. Distinguished by its unique format, this year's workshop kicks off a week before the festival's commencement, spanning its entire duration.

The culmination of the workshop will be a performance showcased during the closing ceremony of the eighth edition, scheduled to run from November 25 to November 30.

This year's workshop by Scott Trost, titled "The Principles of Meisner's Approach in Acting," is an extended one, responding to the demand from professional actors, artists, and enthusiasts eager to explore new techniques in theatrical performance.

Scott Trost stands out as one of the world's foremost acting coaches, serving as the director of the Meisner Institute. With a track record of graduating over 37 Hollywood stars, some of whom have received global Oscars, Trost brings a wealth of experience spanning more than four decades.

The workshop is open to artists both in Egypt and abroad. Online interviews will be conducted for participants outside Egypt, and live interviews will be held for local artists. The workshop will be offered free of charge to residents of North and South Sinai.

The International Youth Theater Festival in Sharm El Sheikh is scheduled to commence from November 25 to November 30. This year's edition is dedicated to the renowned artist Dr. Samira Mohsen, with esteemed actress Samiha Ayoub presiding over the festival.

The festival's supreme committee is led by Maestro Nader Abbassi, managed by Dr. Engy El Bestawy, and enjoys the patronage of the Minister of Culture, Dr. Nevine El Kabbaj, and the Governor of South Sinai, Major General Khaled Fouda.

Scott Trost earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from The Goodman Theater School in Chicago, where he honed his craft under the guidance of Anthony Hopkins at the National Theatre in London. Expanding his knowledge, Trost furthered his education at Playhouse West in Los Angeles and was later invited to join the faculty.

With a wealth of experience, Trost has conducted classes not only across the United States but also internationally in the UK, France, Germany, Russia, Greece, South Africa, Azerbaijan, Hong Kong, China, Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines. Co-author of "All You Need to Know About the Movie & TV Business," a publication by Simon & Schuster, Trost has also contributed to "De Tree a We," a biography detailing the life of Sanford Meisner.

Trost's versatility extends to his involvement in numerous stage productions, films, and television shows. Beyond acting, he has showcased his skills as a producer, director, and writer in various film and play projects. As the director of the Meisner Institute, Trost oversees a research and training center dedicated to the performing arts.
