‘Al Menbar’: A cinematic documentary about the historical role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in combating foreign occupation in Egypt

"Al Menbar" is a new cinematic documentary currently being filmed about the historical role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in combating foreign occupation in Egypt.

"Al Menbar" will highlight how Al-Azhar Al-Sharif spreads Islam’s message of “moderation” and its influential role in participating with the various segments of Egyptian society in the national resistance against foreign occupation of all kinds over the course of more than a thousand years.

"Al Menbar" houses a notable cast including Ahmed Hatem, Ayten Amer, Omar El Saeed, Mido Adel, Kamal Abou Raya, Ahmed Fahim, Sameh El Serety among others. The cinematic documentary is written by Fedaa El Shandwely and directed by Ahmed Abdel Aal.
